# Per-user credit limits within an account

Platform v26.9.6 · Released 21 Sept 2026 · Feature

An MSP account's monthly credit limit can now be split across its users. The account limit still applies to everyone; on top of it each user gets an allocation, so one heavy user can no longer exhaust the pool for the rest. Reaching a user's allocation blocks only that user's tokens; the account limit, when reached, still blocks every token on the account.

## What changed

### Added
- A per-user monthly credit allocation. Both the account limit and the user allocation are checked on every charge, and reaching either blocks: a user allocation blocks only that user's tokens, the account limit blocks every token on the account.
- Two modes per user, set by the account admin. Manual reserves a fixed monthly amount for the user; leaving it unset makes the user effectively unlimited within the account limit. Auto splits whatever remains of the account limit after the Manual allocations.
- All of a user's tokens draw from the same allocation. When a limit is reached the blocked tokens clear at the start of the next calendar month.
- Any change to the account's overall credit limit triggers an immediate re-allocation for the Auto users, so their share always reflects the current account limit.
- Email notifications at 80% and 100% against every monthly limit in play: the account's overall limit and each user's own allocation.

### Note
- Both existing and new users default to Manual with no amount, so on day one they are effectively unlimited and behave exactly as before. Admins opt in by setting an amount or switching a user to Auto.
