Self-service sandbox environments
Sandboxes are now self-service. A sandbox is a full working copy of the platform, created from the dashboard: the same features as production, real OCPP connections, and its own roaming network that issues CDRs end to end. It never touches real money or the live roaming network, so it is a safe place to demo the product, trial a configuration, or build and test an API integration.
What changed
Added
- A Sandbox section in the dashboard to create, configure and delete sandboxes without a support request.
- Multiple sandboxes per account, each a separate instance with its own data, configuration and login URL.
- Start a sandbox blank, from preconfigured test data, or as a copy of an existing one.
- A closed sandbox roaming network for end-to-end CPO and MSP testing: create charging stations, issue cards, run sessions, and receive the resulting CDRs exactly as in production.
- Test with the built-in Charge Station Simulator, or connect a real charging station over OCPP.
- Each sandbox has its own API credentials and developer docs, so an integration can be built and tested in isolation.
- Brand a sandbox with its own logo and colours and hide the sandbox banner, for a clean demo.
Removed
- The old single sandbox toggle, replaced by the Sandbox section.
